Conservation-focussed activities include marine research, turtle-themed football competitions and local beach clean-ups. Masirah is the largest nesting ground for Loggerhead turtles in the world.

The facility comprises a main theatre, an open-air venue and a heritage village as well asextensive fairgrounds. Expect theatre performances, folkloric shows, concerts by prominent Arab and Gulf singers, a kite festival, children’s plays and an Omani poetry forum.
