The Oman Ministry of
Tourism recently welcomed nine partners and over 200 travel trade and media
guests to participate in the 2013 Roadshow in the form of a short film festival
and tourism souk in private cinemas across the UK including: Blythswood Square
Hotel Glasgow; On the 7th Manchester and at the Bulgari Hotel in Knightsbridge, London.
Throughout the roadshow
guests had the opportunity to network with partners including The Oman Ministry
of Tourism, Oman Air, Shangri La Barr Al Jissah Resort, Almouj Golf at the Wave,
Tour Oman, Intercontinental Muscat, Oman World Tourism, Sama Travel and
Tourism, Juweira Salalah and Sifawy Muscat Boutique Hotels and Al Nahda Resort
and Spa.
Each event was themed
as a Tourism Souk with guests being issued with (passports) on arrival. After
an evening of networking and a stamp from each of the partners, guests were
eligible to enter a business card draw to win prizes including an iPad mini
courtesy of the Oman Ministry of Tourism, a variety of hotel stays in Oman and
a selection of activities including a kite boarding course.

better but this will be hard to follow, congratulations”
said Tour operator guest.
The short film
festival about the destination allowed guests to experience Oman’s outstanding
natural beauty and to learn about the wide range of activities, cultural tours
and health and spa options on offer.
Guests were
overwhelmed by the beauty and diversity of Oman “It was really enlightening
into the highlights of Oman” commented
Maureen from If Only as she left the cinema.

hardest job I have is to convey Oman’s stunning beauty, amazing diversity of
activities and extraordinary hospitable people”
stated Alison Cryer, Director UK & Ireland.
“This
was my solution- second best only to taking out travel trade and media guests
